Efficiency - Effectiveness Trade-offs in Learning to Rank

This tutorial provides an 'Introduction to Learning to Rank' and focuses on 'Dealing with the Efficiency/Effectiveness trade-off in Web Search'. Moreover, it provides two different hands-on sessions. The tutorial was developed by Claudio Lucchese and Franco Maria Nardini and it was held at the 3rd ACM International Conference on Theory of Information Retrieval (ICTIR) 2017 and at the European Conference on Machine Learning (ECML-PKDD) 2018.
