Sentinel Surveillance

A surveillance system that uses a prearranged sample of sources from a selected group of participants (e.g. physicians hospitals laboratories and other institutions) who have agreed to report all cases of a specific disease/ syndrome/laboratory confirmed reports of a specified pathogen
